The Wasp was a 9 cylinder, single-row, air-cooled radial engine was used in a range of aircraft including the North American AT-6, the Boeing P26 and 247 as-well as the JU-52. Jimmy Doolittle used the Wasp to set records in his Gee Bee Racer and Emelia Earhart made history using the Wasp in her Electra L-10.
