This memorial is a propeller from the Lancaster Bomber ED357 of the 12th squadron stationed on the British base Wickenby. It was shot down in the night of 13/06/1943 by a German fighter.

Propeller of the F-5 Lightning "The Florida Gator" (42-67119) of the 22nd Photographic Squadron, 7th Photographic Reconnaissance Group that crashed near Ploubalay, Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany 24 July 1944, killing pilot 2nd Lt. Edward W. Durst Jr. A monument commemorates Durst and Pvt. Charles Dysko of the 802nd Tank Destroyer Battalion who was killed in action 7 August 1944.

Sgt. J. Osbborne - Sgt. V. Sugden
Sgt. E. Smith - Sgt. R.A. Waterhouse
We honour these heroes and all citizens
who gave their lives for our freedom
